**I must preface this book list with a comment. Grief is unique to each person. What helps one person may not help another. That goes for music, books, etc. I merely list these because many of these are books I have personally read and found comfort in. The grief-stricken mind is extremely limited on what it can process, so most of the books (excluding the Heaven book by Randy Alcorn) are of a shorter, more manageable length and are easier to read/comprehend, especially in the beginning when grief is so fresh.

Grief quotes:
Grief is not a disorder, a disease or a sign of weakness. It is an emotional, physical and spiritual necessity, the price you pay for love. The only cure for grief is to grieve. - Earl Grollman
The following quote is not necessarily a grief quote, but I think it's applicable. I'm not sure if the author is Joyce Meyers, but I saw it posted by a FB friend with attributing it to her.
"Everything we run away from has power over us; everything we go through, we conquer."

**There are hundreds of other grief quotes, but I don't list them here as they can be found simply by doing a Google search on "grief quotes."**
