About Me

I am first and foremost a believer in Jesus Christ and my life is no longer my own. "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20) I pray that I would glorify God through my words and deeds.

I am also a wife and homeschooling mother of seven blessings. I set up this blog a year after the sudden death of our firstborn son, Matt, on July 29, 2011 at the age of 16. Matt was in a car accident while on his way to work and died shortly into the Lifeflight to the hospital. The purpose of the blog is to share with others my/our journey through this season of grief. If you're new to the blog, I encourage you to start reading from the beginning of the blog archive. It begins in August of 2011 with this post.

  2. Angie,
I'm so sorry for the pain that you are enduring as you miss your sweet son, Matt! Thank you for your kindness in connecting with me via my blog and for caring enough to track me down. I'm so glad you are connected with Jason Gray...he's ministered to me so much in the midst of my own grief. May God richly bless your ministry and hold you close to His heart to bring you comfort...

    Love, Deb Henderson

    1. Deb,
Thank you. As I read a bit more of your blog, I saw that the song Nothing is Wasted came about with you all in mind. My husband and I were at the Called to Love tour concert when we heard it for the first time, shortly after Matt died. Talk about being a mess! But, wow. How God uses our pain and the ugly things of the world to bring glory to Himself and comfort to us and others. The song still ministers greatly to us. Please feel free to email me at tiggerandbug@yahoo.com. I would love to visit with you via email!
